Infrastructure Fund Activity

KKR has achieved a final close of $19.2 billion for its latest flagship infrastructure fund. This fund represents KKR's largest fundraising effort to date, surpassing the $17 billion secured for its predecessor fund in March 2022. Infrastructure remains a strong focus for KKR's real assets division. Industriens Pension a Danish fund managing €37 billion, is maintaining its standard approach to infrastructure investments despite current geopolitical turbulence. The fund's head of infrastructure, Mikkel Kjaersgaard, discussed the asset class, co-investments, and secondaries.

Asset Management Mergers and Deals

Aware Super is in discussions to merge with Prime Super, a move that would add approximately A$8 billion in assets under management to Aware Super's already substantial capital pool. This potential merger would see Aware Super's assets approach A$250 billion. In a significant foreign direct investment, Kuwait has finalized the largest FDI deal ever, involving a $16 billion pipeline. Nuveen's global heads of clean energy have departed the firm.
