Infrastructure Fund Activity

Hans-Martin Aerts head of infrastructure for the Asia-Pacific region, has departed after a 25-year tenure with the €639bn Dutch pension asset manager. This departure follows the exit of APG's global infrastructure head just one month prior. ECP VI successfully closed its largest fund to date, ECP VI, securing $8.1bn. Chief investment officer Tyler Reeder stated that the fundraise for ECP VI exceeded its target by more than 50% within an 18-month period.

Asset Class Perceptions

The question of whether it is time to repackage perceptions of infrastructure assets is being debated. While transport packaging assets may not appeal to purists, it ultimately falls to limited partners to determine their acceptance.
