Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio hit his 20th home run of the season in a 5-3 win over the Texas Rangers on Saturday, becoming the 17th player in MLB history to record three 20-homer seasons before turning 23. He joins a group that includes Hall of Famers Ted Williams, Eddie Mathews, Mickey Mantle, Frank Robinson, and Orlando Cepeda. Chourio, 22, is the second Brewer to achieve the feat, following Ryan Braun (2007-2009).

"I feel very prideful and very happy to be a part of that group," Chourio said through an interpreter. Despite missing the season's first month due to a hand fracture suffered during the World Baseball Classic, Chourio is on pace for career highs in batting average (.281), on-base percentage (.342), and slugging (.478). He has batted .362 with three homers and seven RBIs over his last 11 games.

Manager Pat Murphy praised Chourio's rapid development: "He's still learning the game. Man, he's special." The Brewers, who hold the majors' best record, signed Chourio to an eight-year, $82 million contract in 2023. He has hit .341 with four homers and 11 RBIs in 12 career postseason games. "The dream is to win," Chourio said. "That's the hope this year -- to continue winning and to win it all."
