Audi has unveiled the A2 e-tron, a compact electric vehicle positioned as the most efficient model in the brand's history. Unlikely to be available in the US, the A2 e-tron targets European customers with a design focused on peak energy efficiency. The vehicle achieves a range of approximately 400 miles (646 km) on a single charge, driven by an energy consumption rate of 12.8 kWh per 100 km and a drag coefficient of 0.24. Key aerodynamic refinements include streamlined exterior surfaces, reduced wheel gaps, and integrated electric door handles.

Inside, the A2 e-tron offers three battery options ranging from 52 kWh to 84 kWh. The largest battery supports fast charging, reaching 10 to 80 percent in 29 minutes, while smaller units take 24 to 25 minutes. A notable feature is bidirectional charging, allowing the vehicle to power e-bikes, laptops, or serve as a backup home battery. The interior features a 11.9-inch cockpit display and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen infotainment system. Preorders begin on September 10, with a market launch expected in December, starting at 38,200 euros (around $44,300).
