Alpine Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly has lost his Monaco Grand Prix podium finish after the FIA's International Court of Appeal (ICA) upheld his pitlane speeding penalties. A 77cm discrepancy between timing loops led to inaccurate measurements, affecting multiple drivers. While Gasly's penalties were initially overturned on 12 June, Red Bull's Isack Hadjar and McLaren's Oscar Piastri had already served theirs, dropping from the standings.

Both teams successfully appealed, with the ICA ruling that penalties must stand despite others having served them during the race. The court stated teams chose to serve penalties, so their cancellation wouldn't create sporting unfairness. Gasly fell from third to seventh, with Hadjar moving up to third.

Alpine expressed disappointment but maintains Gasly did nothing wrong. The FIA will review its timing system and judicial procedures.
