SharpEmu, an experimental PS5 emulator, now lists eight games as playable at 60 FPS. Developer Scarecrow (@CursedIfElse) reported that 12 of 55 tested games reach gameplay, with six at 60 FPS, but the compatibility page has since updated to show 17 playable titles, eight of which run at 60 FPS. The eight are Quake, DOOM + DOOM II, Castlevania Dominus Collection, Dead Cells, Dreaming Sarah, Void Terrarium, New Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja, and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered.

None have been tested from start to finish, and minor graphical or audio issues may remain. Most are small indie or retro-style games, with Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered being the largest title. SharpEmu prioritizes accuracy and infrastructure over broad compatibility, while KytyPS5 focuses on wider support and boot reliability, having demonstrated PS5 GTA 5 at up to 60 FPS on high-end hardware before crashing.

Despite progress, SharpEmu remains far from running demanding 3D titles, covering only a small fraction of the PS5’s 9,000+ game library. Nonetheless, advancements in the emulator space continue to accelerate.
