PC GPU shipments increased 10.4% quarter-over-quarter and 1.1% year-over-year in Q2, reaching 75.5 million units, according to Jon Peddie Research. The growth was driven by a 16.8% surge in notebook graphics card shipments, while dedicated desktop GPUs declined by 4% quarterly. Intel maintained dominance with 56% of all PC GPU shipments, though its lead decreased by 1% quarter-over-quarter and 5% year-over-year.

NVIDIA and AMD saw minor market share gains of 0.46% and 0.6%, respectively. CPU shipment trends showed AMD's client CPU shipments growing 12.74% and Intel's increasing 8.99%, with notebooks accounting for 78% of client CPU shipments and desktops only 22%. The data reflects a continued shift toward mobile computing, where integrated graphics in laptops are boosting overall GPU volumes despite high discrete GPU prices.
