Wrexham 1-1 Burnley: Ekomie Equaliser Secures Draw

Wrexham's wait for a home win continues after a 1-1 draw with winless Burnley at the Racecourse Ground. Zeki Amdouni gave the Clarets a first-half lead, finishing a pass from Leeds loanee Largie Ramazani in the 26th minute. Wrexham improved after the break following the introduction of deadline-day signings Callum O'Hare and Oli Rathbone.

The equaliser arrived via the wing-backs signed last month, as Issa Kabore's cross was powered home by Jacques Ekomie for his second goal since a £7million move from Angers. Ekomie later blocked Oliver Sonne's shot on the line to preserve the point. New signing Jamie Vardy watched from the stands while suspended.

Manager Phil Parkinson urged fans not to be despondent, praising the second-half performance against a Burnley side relegated from the Premier League. The result leaves both clubs struggling for promotion momentum, with Burnley ending a run of seven straight away defeats but winning just once since October.
