Sebastien Pocognoli's first game in charge of Scotland ended in a goalless draw away to Slovenia in their Nations League League B Group 1 opener in Ljubljana.

Robbie Ure struck the post with Scotland's best chance before half-time, while Oli Mc Burnie and Kieran Bowie both missed good opportunities in the second half. Vanja Drkusic also went close for the home side, with his header hitting the post.

Andraz Sporar thought he had given Slovenia an early lead, but the goal was disallowed for offside in the build-up. Jan Oblak produced several fine saves, including a one-handed stop from Billy Gilmour.

Despite the missed chances, Scotland can take encouragement from a positive second-half performance under their new manager.
