The five-year-old, trained by John and Sean Quinn, won the Ayr Bronze Cup last weekend and faces a 5lb higher mark. Dark Thirty, a son of Starspangledbanner, is a notable contender after finishing third at the Curragh, with Jake Dickson taking a further 5lb off. Trefor and Indian Run, both course and distance winners, are also in contention, as is David O'Meara's Yes I'm Mali, who previously scored over this track and trip.

At Southwell, Pyramid and Kashooda head the Free Bets On attheraces.com Maiden Stakes. Pyramid, a Juddmonte colt, finished second on debut at Wolverhampton, while Kashooda, trained by Andrew Balding, has placed on both starts. Roxy Power and Pepperazzi, debuting in the Valmont silks for Oliver Cole, are also worth noting.

At Belmont Park, El Cordobes and Pride Of Arras lead a field of seven in the Grade 1 Joe Hirsch Stakes. El Cordobes, trained by Charlie Appleby, finished third in this race last year and was third in the Breeders' Cup Turf. Pride Of Arras, trained by Ralph Beckett, won the Group 3 September Stakes at Kempton. Far Bridge and Fort George are also in contention.

The day begins with the Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill in Australia, featuring Guest House and St Gotthard. At Ripon, Zarakova tops six runners in the Lloyd Landrover Ripon Nursery Handicap, with Palace Legacy stepping into handicap company.
