The 37-year-old became only the second player after Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs) to surpass 15,000 ODI runs, achieving the feat in just 303 innings - the fastest in history. India successfully chased down 296 in 41.4 overs, with captain Shubman Gill contributing 110 off 108 balls.

Kohli's innings featured 10 fours and nine sixes, including a decisive six to seal the win. Earlier, West Indies posted 295-7, with Justin Greaves scoring his maiden ODI ton (101 off 108) and John Campbell adding 62. Kuldeep Yadav took 4-40 as India bowled them down to 198-5.

The series now leads 1-0, with matches scheduled in Guwahati and Chandigarh before a five-match T20 series begins October 6.
