Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac have poked fun at Southampton's "Spygate" scandal in an advert for the Championship club's new sponsor, Firefox. Wrexham host Southampton on Saturday, and the two famous co-owners stirred the pre-match pot with this new advert.

In the minute-long video, Mac and Reynolds emerge from behind a tree. Reynolds says: "Today, for no particular reason, we want to talk about the importance of privacy." Mac continues: "Specifically how to prevent spies from seeing what you're doing."

The tree references how a Southampton intern was caught spying on a Middlesbrough training session ahead of their Championship playoff semifinal last season. Southampton won that semifinal but were charged with three counts of spying, including ahead of matches with Oxford and Ipswich. They received a four-point penalty and were thrown out of the playoff final, with Middlesbrough re-instated.

The FA charged Southampton manager Tonda Eckert in July for misconduct and bringing the game into disrepute. The FA has not yet released a verdict. Reynolds finishes: "Refreshing, huh? An organisation that actually respects your privacy."
