The Los Angeles Rams are targeting a Week 4 return for wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is dealing with groin soreness. Coach Sean McVay said Nacua will not practice Friday and will be listed as doubtful for Sunday night's game against the Denver Broncos. Nacua has not practiced since Sept. 17 and missed Monday's win over the New York Giants with a hip injury.

"If he doesn't go this week, the expectations are, unless there's a setback, that he'll be good for next week," McVay said. The Rams play the Eagles in Philadelphia in Week 4. McVay said there is no consideration to placing Nacua on injured reserve, which would sideline him for at least four more games.

McVay explained the caution stems from Nacua's position. "When you're a skill player and you're really trying to hit high-speed yards and really open up and you feel just ... it's like some of the things that can almost be like pre-hernia is kind of what he's feeling," McVay said Wednesday. The coach also noted the injury is not related to the psoas issue that caused Nacua to miss time in August.
