The Baltimore Orioles placed right-hander Kyle Bradish on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to lower abdominal discomfort, effectively ending his season. Bradish, who turned 30 on Saturday, started against the Toronto Blue Jays that day and allowed five runs and eight hits in three innings, marking his ninth consecutive winless outing. He finished the season 7-14 with a 4.12 ERA over 155 innings in 29 starts — his first full campaign since returning from Tommy John surgery in June 2024.

Bradish had gone 1-1 with a 2.53 ERA in six starts after his return last August. He was 0-5 with a 5.83 ERA since beating Boston on July 22 and would only be eligible to return if Baltimore reaches the playoffs. The 2023 AL Cy Young fourth-place finisher (12-7, 2.83 ERA) signed a $90 million, five-year contract extension in July covering 2027-31.

Right-hander Yaramil Hiraldo was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk, where he posted a 1.13 ERA in 15 games.
