He accepted Eddings' apology after their brief on-field discussion Saturday.

Cardinals pitcher Matthew Liberatore praised the team's unity, stating they stand up for each other. At least some Colorado players also wore caps to the side. Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol criticized the interaction, calling it a "power-hungry move," noting other pitchers like Dontrelle Willis and CC Sabathia have worn hats tilted.

Eddings told reporters he confronted Rincon after a Colorado hitter complained, though catcher TJ Goodman denied complaining. The Cardinals won Friday 7-6 on Ivan Herrera's ninth-inning three-run homer before losing Saturday 10-5.
