BALTIMORE -- The Milwaukee Brewers set a single-season franchise record with their 98th victory, defeating the Baltimore Orioles 3-0 Sunday night to improve to 98-58. Despite not winning more than five consecutive games all season, Milwaukee owns the best record in the majors and has clinched its fourth straight NL Central title.

Manager Pat Murphy praised his team's consistency: "We haven't had these streaks of greatness... but for sure they've proven they're a team." The Brewers completed their ninth series sweep behind a balanced effort — four stolen bases, a diving catch by center fielder Garrett Mitchell, and a four-hit shutout from seven pitchers.

Pitcher Jacob Misiorowski (15-5, 1.86 ERA) worked three innings in a workload-managed start. "Hopefully, we get a few more and get to a little bigger number," he said. With six games remaining, Milwaukee leads the Los Angeles Dodgers by two games for the NL's top seed and needs one more win or an Atlanta loss to secure a division series bye. The franchise hasn't reached the World Series since 1982.
