United States captain Brandt Snedeker is questioning his decisions after the Americans fell behind in the Presidents Cup. The U.S. outscored the International team 4½ to 3½ on Saturday but trails by three points entering Sunday's singles session. 'I hold myself to a high standard,' Snedeker said. 'I don't think I've put these guys in situations where I was trying to... give them the comfort level they needed.' One of his most questionable decisions was resting world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler for Saturday afternoon's foursomes. Scheffler and Sam Burns won their fourballs match 2 and 1 in the morning, but Snedeker chose to keep him out of foursomes to 'get him some energy for tomorrow.' Scheffler is set to play Sunday's singles against Nico Echavarria, who hasn't played since Thursday.

Snedeker also waited until Saturday to pair Chris Gotterup and Cameron Young, who won both their matches. 'I feel like a team reflects their captain, and to this point, I haven't held up my end of the bargain,' Snedeker admitted. The Americans need a strong Sunday to salvage the competition.
