Indiana running back Khobie Martin will be out until midseason after suffering an injury in the season-opening win over North Texas, head coach Curt Cignetti confirmed Monday. Martin, who was expected to contribute to the Hoosiers' running back rotation, left the game with an injury and was seen in an Instagram story with his right arm in a sling. Cignetti stated, "[We] expect him back midseason." Martin did not record a carry in Indiana's 52-16 victory over North Texas, with Boston College transfer Turbo Richard and Lee Beebe Jr. handling most of the rushing duties.

Last season, Martin accumulated 505 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 78 carries as Indiana's No. 3 running back behind Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black. The 6-foot, 210-pound Fishers, Indiana native is in his third year with the program. Cignetti also noted that starting cornerbacks A.
