Xiaomi has begun rolling out the first beta build of HyperOS 4 to global beta testers, following its mid-August announcement and last week's recruitment drive. Currently, only three devices are supported: the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the Xiaomi 17, and the Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi. Eligible users can manually check for the update via Settings > About phone by tapping the version number.

On September 17, the beta program will expand to include the Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro, 15, and 15 Ultra. It remains unclear if additional devices will be added afterward. Xiaomi has not yet announced a timeline for the stable release of HyperOS 4, suggesting a wider rollout may take some time.

The update introduces a new glass-like aesthetic, though specific feature details were not disclosed in the announcement. Pricing for the supported devices varies by region and configuration, with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra starting at £1,034.72 for the 512GB/16GB model.
