This represents a 15% increase over the iPhone 17 Pro series launch last year. The Pro models accounted for 90% of total iPhone 2025 lineup sales in China during the same period, driven by the absence of new vanilla and Air models.

The iPhone 18 Pro Max proved more popular, capturing 55.5% of Pro sales, reversing pre-order trends where the smaller Pro led with 60%. Apple raised prices strategically: 256GB and 512GB models increased by CNY 1,000 (~$150), while 1TB and 2TB models rose by CNY 2,500 and CNY 3,500 respectively. Price hikes vary globally — 11% in China, 9% in the US, but a steep 22% in Japan, where the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro launched at JPY 219,800, exceeding even the revised iPhone 17 Pro price of JPY 194,800.
