Apple's latest lineup includes the iPhone 17, Air, and iPhone 17e, now priced at $900, $1,100, and $700 respectively for base 256GB models. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8, launched in August, sees early discounts, positioning itself as the primary US rival to the iPhone Duo. The Z Fold8 features a thinner 9.7mm profile and lighter 201g weight compared to the iPhone Duo's 11.3mm and 254g.

Samsung equips the device with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor and a 50MP main camera system, while Apple utilizes an under-display camera for the inner selfie module.
