Roblox is making it easier to access games on its platform. At the annual Roblox Developers Conference, the company announced browser-based gaming by the end of 2026. Players can join a Roblox game from its Experience Details Page on a browser without downloading or installing anything. If they see a link on search, YouTube, X or email, they can click and start playing instantly. The capability will initially be exclusive to Chrome users, but more browsers will support it in the future.

In mid-2027, Roblox is launching offline play. Creators can enable offline solo play, so users can keep playing even with spotty internet. Early access is coming soon. The company will also allow creators to make games available as standalone apps across mobile, PC and consoles as part of "Play Roblox Everywhere."

Roblox is expanding its engine capabilities and adding new UI features to support 2D and puzzle games, alongside its known 3D games. It's also expanding support for turn-based, asynchronous multiplayer games, so players can expect more types of Roblox games soon.
