Emberville from Cygnus Cross, co-owned by Twitch streamer Ben "Cohh Carnage" Cassel, blends Diablo-style dungeon crawling with Stardew Valley life-sim elements. The top-down action RPG features lush pixel art, slick animations, and a stellar voice cast including Amelia Tyler, Jennifer English, Abubakar Salim, Matt Mercer, and Ben Starr. Combat offers multiple weapon options with a combo system, though the game may feel overwhelming due to its many systems. Set in a mysterious underground prison, players rebuild a ruined town while escaping. It launches on Steam in early access on October 27.

Blackwood: Act One from Attrito M7 Productions and IZilla Games presents a unique action-life sim hybrid. Set in 2012, players run a DVD store by day and become an ersatz John Wick by night. The first act offers around six hours of playtime with two more acts planned for 2027. The game features Max Payne-style Bullet Time mechanics and drops players into combat immediately. However, the title feels rough with clunky hand-to-hand combat and audio mix issues. Available on Steam for $25 with a 10 percent discount until September 23.
