Safe Mode on Android disables all third-party apps and activates Airplane Mode, making it useful for troubleshooting problems like lag or battery drain. However, getting stuck in Safe Mode can be frustrating when you're just trying to use your phone normally. To turn off Android Safe Mode, simply restart your device by accessing the power options screen and selecting Restart.

Your phone will boot up normally with Safe Mode disabled. Alternatively, you can swipe down from the left side of the screen to access the Notification Menu, find the Safe Mode notification, and tap it to turn off Safe Mode directly. If Airplane Mode remains active after exiting Safe Mode, swipe down from the right portion of your screen to access Quick Settings and tap the airplane icon to disable it.

Safe Mode isn't the only Android feature that can cause issues — Google Play Protect can also create frustrating limitations, but it's easily fixed as well.
