Eight Sleep has unveiled the Pod 6, its newest smart sleep system, with more biometric sensors, improved temperature controls, and a solo model. The company says the models were “rebuilt from the ground up” and are its “most significant hardware launch to date.”

Compared with the Pod 5, the hub is completely redesigned and small enough to fit under most bed frames. It pumps temperature-controlled water through the included mattress cover. Eight Sleep says the Pod 6 has “the fastest temperature response” of any of its products, adjusting about 20 percent faster for night sweats and chills.

The line includes 18 biometric sensors, versus two with the Pod 5, tracking heart rate, breath rate, heart rate variability, snoring, sleep stages, and more without a wearable. The data powers the AI engine and Autopilot system, which automatically adjusts the cover based on sleep stage and ambient temperature. A smaller solo size omits dual-zone temperature regulation to cost less.

Prices range from $2,000 to $3,000, depending on mattress size, and every model requires an Autopilot subscription costing $17 to $25 per month. The Pod 6 is a hub and mattress cover, not a mattress, and is available now.
