A new leak suggests the upcoming iPad mini will feature the A20 Pro chip, the same processor found in the iPhone 18 Pro models that launched last week. The discovery was made by Mac Rumors, which found references to the device in Apple's code, including an alleged product icon.

The icon indicates the new iPad mini will retain the same overall design as the current model, but the camera has been moved from the top bezel to the landscape side, aligning with Apple's other iPad models. A small speaker cutout at the top of the display, similar to the iPhone, is also visible.

The current iPad mini, released in October 2024, runs on Apple's A17 Pro chip. The new model is expected to launch by the end of October, according to Mark Gurman. Additional improvements include better water resistance and a new speaker system.
