iOS 27 launches for all users next week, and will be followed not long after by the first iOS 27.1 beta and public launch. iOS 27.1 launches in October before iPhone Duo release, with beta in the next week or so.

iOS 27 launches this Monday, September 14 and is packed with new features like Siri AI. Apple is expected to debut the first iOS 27.1 beta within about a week of iOS 27 launching. The typical pattern points to iOS 27.1 beta 1 arriving as early as next week, or as late as the week of September 21.

Apple confirmed this week that iOS 27.1 will ship by October 23—and likely a few days earlier. Its iPhone Duo press release says, “iPhone Duo will be available with iOS 27.1.” Since iPhone Duo arrives in users’ hands on October 23, the software update must be released by then. Based on iOS 27.1 shipping with iPhone Duo, the most likely public release date is anywhere from Monday, October 19 to Wednesday, October 21.

It’s unknown what all will be included in the update other than iPhone Duo-exclusive changes. But we’ll keep you posted after the first beta arrives.
