Apple has unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, featuring the new A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process with a 6-core CPU and 7-core GPU, delivering 40% faster graphics. The devices also include a 32-core Neural Engine and a 50% increase in memory bandwidth, alongside a vapor chamber for improved thermal management.

The camera system introduces a 48MP Fusion main camera with variable aperture, faster Night mode, and new Pro controls for manual adjustment of aperture and shutter speed. Smart focus and advanced Photographic styles enhance image quality, while Apple Reference Image adds authenticity metadata to combat AI-generated fakes.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1199 with a new 2TB storage option, and the Pro Max is priced at $1299. Both models feature a smaller Dynamic Island supporting three Live Activities, longer battery life (up to 30 hours on Pro Max), and faster wired charging. New accessories include updated Clear Case, a wrist strap, and additional silicone and Fine Woven case colors. Pre-orders begin September 12, with launch on September 18.
