Thousands of readers voted on their television favorites, and over 7,000 weighed in on nine Emmy categories. They agreed with the academy on Matthew Rhys, who won a historic trifecta for lead acting in drama, comedy, and limited series.

But readers preferred Hacks over Widow's Bay for best comedy and The Beast in Me over DTF St. Louis for best limited series. For best actress in a drama, 37 percent chose Keri Russell for The Diplomat, while 29 percent picked Emmy winner Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus.
