Joe Rodon Injury Doubt for Wales Nations League Games

Wales manager Craig Bellamy faces a defensive crisis ahead of Nations League matches against Portugal and Denmark after Joe Rodon suffered a hamstring injury playing for Leeds United. The 28-year-old centre-back limped off 33 minutes into Leeds' 1-1 Premier League draw with Brentford at Elland Road on Saturday. Rodon pulled up sharply following a challenge and immediately signaled for substitution.

Leeds boss Daniel Farke confirmed the severity, stating Rodon has a "very painful injury" which would be a "big blow if he is out for a while." Farke added the club must assess the defender, noting limited senior centre-back options. The injury compounds Wales' problems, with Cardiff's Dylan Lawlor already set to miss out with a knee issue.

Rodon, who has 62 caps, has been a mainstay under Bellamy. His potential absence represents a significant blow for the away fixtures in Portugal on 24 September and Denmark on 27 September.
