Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc crashed out of the Italian Grand Prix after just two racing laps at Monza, bringing out a red flag. Defending fourth from McLaren's Oscar Piastri, Leclerc suffered a snap of oversteer through the fast Parabolica right-hander, spinning into the outside barriers at high speed. He walked away unhurt but visited the medical centre for precautionary checks.

The incident was a major blow for Ferrari at its home race, which had already endured a poor start. Leclerc pushed team-mate Lewis Hamilton wide at the start, demoting the Mercedes driver to eighth. Hamilton fumed on team radio that "Charles pushed me off," though stewards noted the incident without investigation. George Russell took the lead from surprise polesitter Pierre Gasly in the Alpine.

Drivers face a standing restart at 15:39 local time with tyre changes permitted. Russell will lead from Gasly, Max Verstappen, Franco Colapinto, and Piastri. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli recovered to 12th after starting 19th due to an engine penalty.
