The "After reading" setting appears in the "Default message timer" menu, with options including 5 minutes, 1 hour, and 12 hours after reading. WhatsApp may rename the settings page to better accommodate this new option. Currently rolling out to "some" beta testers on iOS and Android, the feature might already be available to certain users on the public WhatsApp version through the App Store.
