Kwikset today announced CarPlay integration for its smart lock app, enabling iPhone users to lock or unlock compatible locks directly from their vehicle's dashboard. This feature works with the Halo Touch, Halo Keypad, Halo Touchscreen, Halo Select, and Halo Select Plus models, allowing users to tap the Kwikset app icon within CarPlay to control their home doors without opening the app first. The integration specifically excludes Kwikset Halo locks configured in Matter mode. Kwikset is also adding the same CarPlay functionality for Android Auto users.

This development significantly expands the accessibility of Kwikset's smart home ecosystem, letting homeowners manage security remotely while on the go.
