Ken Pillonel Adds Lightning Port to iPhone 17 Pro in Reverse Hack

Swiss robotics engineer Ken Pillonel has created a fully functional Lightning port case for the iPhone 17 Pro, a reverse of his earlier USB-C mod. This custom build, detailed in a video description, is described as a 'tongue-in-cheek' response to reader requests. Pillonel emphasizes it's a hack, not a commercial product, stating it's 'one of the most cursed things I've ever built.' The project required designing custom PCBs, 3D printing a flexible TPU case on a Formlabs SLS printer, and fabricating a magnet installation jig on a Prusa printer.

The finished case aligns with MagSafe and features a snap-fit assembly, resulting in a slim, flexible design.
