iPhone 19 Pro Prototype Shows Quad-Curved Display Design

A Chinese leaker claims Apple is testing an iPhone 19 Pro with a display that curves around all four edges, though it still has a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. Face ID sits hidden under the panel. This lines up with separate reports that Apple's 20th-anniversary iPhone, expected in 2027, will feature a fully uninterrupted quad-curved display.

The distinction matters. If both the Pro and Pro Max share the same quad-curved design, Apple loses a key way to set the anniversary model apart as an ultra-premium tier. Leaker Digital Chat Station suggests the iPhone 19 Pro models will keep the hole-punch cutout while reserving the bezel-less display for the commemorative phone.

Getting the front camera under the panel without degrading image quality remains the sticking point. Apple reportedly finds the selfie camera the hardest component to hide, and if current technology can't solve that, the 2027 lineup's differentiation falls apart. Digital Chat Station has a solid track record, having accurately leaked the iPhone 17 Pro's triple 48-megapixel camera system and the iPhone Air design.

The leaker also recently said Apple's foldable, arriving with the iPhone 18 Pro, will be called "iPhone Ultra." That gives the 19 Pro display rumor more weight, but Apple still faces a real engineering wall with hiding the selfie camera cleanly under the display.
