Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to launch in September with significant upgrades. The devices will reportedly feature a Dark Cherry color option alongside Light Blue, Dark Gray, and Silver, replacing the existing Cosmic Orange and Deep Blue finishes. A major camera upgrade includes a variable aperture on the 48-megapixel Fusion camera, allowing users to control light intake and depth of field.

The A20 Pro chip will use TSMC's first-generation 2nm process, promising improved performance and power efficiency over the current 3nm A19 Pro. The C2 modem will enable 5G connectivity via satellite for web browsing without Wi-Fi or cellular coverage. Display technology will advance with LTPO+ screens that should extend battery life while maintaining the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch sizes from the previous generation.

Design refinements include a smaller Dynamic Island after moving the Face ID flood illuminator under the screen, a simplified Camera Control button with only pressure sensitivity, and a redesigned rear Ceramic Shield area with a more frosted and seamless appearance. Apple is also expected to release a foldable iPhone alongside the Pro models in September, followed by a standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and second-generation iPhone Air early next year.
