Apple rolled out iOS 27 with a revamped, more personal Siri that leans on AI to handle requests like receipt scanning and bill splitting. The update also refreshes Apple Maps, adding AI‑driven Flyover detail for select cities and a Local Lists tab that highlights trending eateries and kid‑friendly spots in the U.S. and travelers.

Find My gains custom‑duration sharing, letting users set exact expiry times or pause location visibility until day’s end—far beyond the three preset options in iOS 26. Apple Wallet now creates barcode passes from physical loyalty cards via the Camera’s Siri mode, while Apple Cash powers a new bill‑split flow in Messages and the Wallet app, calculating tax and tip automatically.

Apple Pay’s checkout redesign lets users swipe to switch cards and shows rewards, debit balances, and pay‑later options inline. Tap to Share extends the Tap‑to‑Pay ecosystem, transmitting shipping details and loyalty data to small‑business devices. Podcasts adds a “search within show” tool, Photos upgrades iCloud Shared Albums with full‑resolution files and emoji reactions, and Music refines AutoMix transitions while expanding lyrics translation into seven new language pairs.
