Apple's iOS 27 update, set to debut at WWDC 2026, promises major changes centered around the upcoming iPhone Fold. The foldable device will feature a 5.5-inch display when closed and a 7.8-inch screen when opened, running iOS with an iPad-like 4:3 aspect ratio. Apple is building new interfaces specifically for this larger display, with sidebars and multitasking capabilities.

iOS 27 will also deliver the long-awaited Apple Intelligence Siri overhaul, though development delays pushed some features from iOS 26.4. The update includes a chatbot version of Siri developed with Google's Gemini team, offering web search, image generation, and deeper app integration.
