Halfbrick Studios today launched Jetpack Joyride Racing, a new free-to-play multiplayer racing game for iOS that expands its popular Jetpack Joyride franchise. The game supports up to six players in real-time competitions, featuring characters like Barry Steakfries, Dan, Josie, and Professor Brains across four distinct circuits.

Players navigate through dynamic zones that alter gameplay—purple zones slow racers down, red zones cut engines, and green zones provide speed boosts. The racing mechanics include drift controls, collectible items for boosts, and tactical level designs that require mastery. Beyond competitive racing with Discord voice chat support, the game offers Party Mode for collaborative gameplay with friends.

The game integrates with Halfbrick+'s collectible card system, allowing players to unlock ships, characters, and cosmetic items. These cards will eventually connect across Halfbrick+ games similar to Nintendo's Amiibo functionality. A progression system with Season Pass rewards provides additional incentives for regular play.

Jetpack Joyride Racing is free to download from the App Store with no ads, though an optional Halfbrick+ subscription at $2.99 per month unlocks premium content and faster progression across the studio's game portfolio. Players can enjoy the core racing experience without any subscription requirement.
