OpenAI has now rolled out its ChatGPT Go subscription tier worldwide, priced at $8 per month in the U.S. This new tier provides increased access to the GPT-5.2 Instant model. Subscribers can send ten times more messages, upload files, and create images compared to the free tier. It also offers enhanced memory capabilities.

Before this global launch, ChatGPT Go was already available in select regions like India. This move is likely aimed at attracting a broader user base and competing with other AI platforms. The company is betting on a tiered subscription model to balance accessibility with revenue generation.

Currently, ChatGPT offers three subscription levels. ChatGPT Plus is $20 monthly, and ChatGPT Pro is $200. The more advanced GPT-5.2 Thinking model is exclusive to the Plus and Pro tiers. OpenAI also plans to test ads within the free and Go tiers.
