Chase Sapphire Preferred adds free Apple TV+ perk

Chase has added a free one‑year Apple TV+ subscription to its Sapphire Preferred card. Activation must occur by Dec 31 2026, and the benefit replaces any existing paid Apple TV+ plan for the year. Apple One members receive a $7.50 monthly discount instead of a full subscription, automatically applied when the card’s perk is linked to the same Apple ID for cardholders.

The card keeps its $95 annual fee, but gains several travel‑focused rewards. Cardholders now earn points on gas, EV charging, and Airbnb or Vrbo bookings, and the hotel statement credit has risen to $100. A new $120 credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS is offered every four years, as well as emergency evacuation coverage.

Chase is discontinuing the 10% anniversary bonus and changing Ultimate Rewards transfers to World of Hyatt at a 4:3 ratio. New applicants can still claim a 100,000‑point sign‑up bonus after spending $5,000 in three months. Compared with the higher‑priced Sapphire Reserve, which includes Apple TV+ and Apple Music for $795, the Preferred’s new perks aim to boost mid‑tier appeal in the competitive credit‑card market.
