Chase is making its popular Sapphire Preferred credit card more attractive by adding free Apple TV for a year, a benefit previously reserved for the premium Reserve card. The travel-focused card carries a $95 annual fee, significantly less than the $795 Reserve version. This move brings premium streaming perks to a broader customer base.

Cardholders can activate the offer through Chase's Benefits portal by December 31, 2026, linking their Apple Account to receive the $156 annual value. The promotion works for both new and existing customers, making it a straightforward upgrade for current Sapphire Preferred users who haven't been taking advantage of Apple benefits.

Those already subscribed to Apple One can opt for a $7.50 monthly credit instead, reducing the cost of Apple's subscription bundle. Meanwhile, Chase Sapphire Reserve holders now receive a $15 monthly credit as Apple One subscribers, fixing a previous gap where these customers essentially missed out on the streaming bonus.

This benefit expansion reflects Chase's strategy to compete in the crowded credit card market by adding tangible digital perks that appeal to tech-savvy consumers. With streaming services becoming essential entertainment, the free Apple TV offer provides real value that could influence card selection.
