Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini set for September launch with new Siri

Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman says Apple’s next Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini are “nearly ready” after months of internal use at Cupertino. Apple is holding the launch until the personalized Siri engine lands in iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27, expected at WWDC 2026 and shipping in September. That puts a retail debut roughly three to four months away.

The refreshed Apple TV is rumored to ship with an A17 Pro chip—the first processor built for Apple Intelligence—plus an N1 coprocessor supporting Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. Gurman notes the Siri Remote may receive an undisclosed refresh but likely retains its current shape. The HomePod mini should upgrade to the S9 chip, add an N1 module, UWB, better acoustics and a potential red finish.

Both products have been on the shelves for years—Apple TV 4K debuted in October 2022 and the HomePod mini in October 2020—so the upgrades are modest. Consumers will mainly gain faster AI processing, while Apple aligns its hardware rollout with the new Siri platform to showcase its intelligence across the ecosystem. The devices should appear in stores by September.
