Apple today provided developers with the seventh beta of an upcoming visionOS 27 update for testing purposes. The beta arrives one week after the fifth release. visionOS 27 can be installed via the Settings app under Software Updates by opting into Beta Updates. Key features include the new Siri AI, which offers enhanced capabilities similar to ChatGPT and Claude, and a placeable Siri orb within virtual space. Panorama photos can now be transformed into spatial environments, including a new Icelandic Thórsmörk scene with dramatic mountains, valleys, glaciers, and northern lights. Web Environment support enables developers to create 360-degree browsing experiences in Safari. App windows have been redesigned with curved edges for a more immersive workspace, and Control Center has been reorganized for easier access. A smaller widget size and auto-expanding notifications when looked at further refine the interface.
