Apple is testing the next macOS Golden Gate update, and developers can now download the fourth macOS Golden Gate 27.2 beta. The fourth beta arrives a week after Apple released the third beta, signaling steady progress toward the next point release.
Registered developers can get the update by opening the System Settings app, clicking General, selecting Software Update, and opting into macOS Golden Gate betas. The beta is available to those enrolled in Apple's developer program.
macOS Golden Gate 27.2 introduces Siri AI in new languages and adds new brightness and volume sliders to the interface. These changes extend the overhauled Siri experience that debuted with the core macOS 27 release and broaden its reach to more users around the world.
We're expecting macOS Golden Gate 27.2 to launch toward the end of October, based on the current beta cadence. Readers following the release can track ongoing changes through MacRumors' macOS Golden Gate roundup and discussion forums.
