Apple is partnering with Samsung to create a micro-curved OLED panel for its 20th-anniversary iPhone, aiming for a pol-less display using Samsung's COE technology to reduce thickness and boost brightness. The redesign could feature a completely bezel-less screen with shallow curves to enhance grip and swipe fluidity, while Samsung's COE removes the polarizer layer to improve light transmission and power efficiency—though reflections may require better anti-reflective coatings. Apple is also testing a crater-shaped light diffusion layer to ensure uniform brightness across the all-glass display, which would eliminate front-facing cutouts.
