Apple today provided developers with the seventh beta of macOS Golden Gate, arriving a week after the sixth beta. Developers can download the update via System Settings > General > Software Update with Beta Updates enabled and a free developer account.

macOS Golden Gate brings multiple design improvements, including enhanced Liquid Glass opacity for readability, a transparency slider, and shadowing changes to clarify active windows. Apps feature uniform toolbars, edge-to-edge sidebars, less rounded corners, and fewer menu bar icons.

Siri has been transformed into Siri AI, a chatbot-style assistant combining world knowledge, personal data, and onscreen awareness. Siri lives in Spotlight with a new Search or Ask interface, plus a dedicated Siri app for chatting and viewing past conversations. On newer Macs, users can set a custom voice with personalized pace and expressivity. Visual Intelligence lets Siri answer questions about screen content, while Write with Siri generates text or provides writing feedback.

Additional AI features include photo editing tools in Photos, AI tab organization in Safari, automatic weak password updates in the Passwords app, and a revamped Image Playground app generating photorealistic images.
