Apple has seeded the first betas of iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 to developers, less than a week after releasing iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3. The updates are available through the Settings app under General > Software Update for registered developers testing on their iPhone and iPad devices.

While Apple had planned to include the smarter, more personalized version of Siri that debuted at WWDC 2024, the company has encountered issues that may delay some or all Siri features until iOS 26.5 or iOS 27. Despite these setbacks, the update could still introduce new Siri capabilities like image generation and web search tools.

The iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4 betas are currently limited to developers, with a public beta expected within the next week or two. The updates are also anticipated to include new emoji characters such as trombone, treasure chest, orca, landslide, and Bigfoot.
