Apple is expected to announce new iMac and 14-inch MacBook Pro models at a special event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 28. The primary upgrade for both machines will be the M6 chip, which debuted in the August Mac mini release. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman confirmed the timeline, noting the event's "Pro and tell" theme.
No design changes are anticipated, meaning these are straightforward performance updates. The announcement coincides with rumors of touchscreen MacBook Pro models, though the Ultra branding has reportedly been shelved. The event is expected to focus heavily on the new silicon architecture and its integration across the product line.
