Apple today announced four new members of its American Manufacturing Program: TDK, Bosch, Cirrus Logic, and Qnity Electronics. These partnerships aim to boost domestic production of critical components for iPhones and other Apple products. TDK will manufacture tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors in the U.S. for the first time, supporting features like camera stabilization.

Bosch and TSMC will collaborate on integrated circuits (ICs) for sensing hardware at a TSMC facility in Washington, aiding functions such as Crash Detection and elevation tracking. Cirrus Logic and GlobalFoundries will develop advanced semiconductor technologies at a New York facility, enabling innovations in Face ID systems. Qnity Electronics and HD MicroSystems will focus on materials and technologies for high-performance computing and AI.
